Hey, my name is Navtej Khora and I’m the founder of Umbralux, a domestic electrical company built by my drive to deliver qualitative and safe work in London homes. I started the business in 2025, after working in the electrical industry from the age of 18. Though, my connection to this line of work started much earlier.

From the age of nine I practically grew up on construction sites while helping my dad with building his business. Being around tradespeople from such a young age shaped my path. I knew early on that I wanted to pursue my own career, and as soon as I could, I qualified as an electrician.

I worked for several years alongside experienced electricians. Over time, I took on more responsibility. I ran jobs, dealt directly with clients and builders, managed teams, and kept projects on track from start to finish. That experience gave me the confidence to start my own company, which led to the launch of Umbralux.

The name is a blend of two Latin words umbra, meaning shadow, and lux, meaning light. The idea behind it is simple: I want to bring light into people’s homes through dependable electrical work and honest service.
